Why We Built This Site
Mississippi court access is practical only when the right custodian is identified. The Lafayette County Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit Court records and is the County Court filing route. Chancery Court records belong with the Chancery Clerk, while Justice and municipal courts maintain separate channels. A docket is the running case history of filings and settings, but it is not always the full case file. The site organizes official contacts, search routes, record terms, and request steps so that a search begins with the correct Lafayette County court.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket routes: ways to read criminal dockets and civil dockets in Lafayette County
- Settings: how to use the court calendar and confirm a hearing with its clerk
- Case lookup: how a case search uses a party name, case number, court, and date
- Official copies: how court records and certified copies are requested from the custodian
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a Mississippi court, clerk, or agency. The following limits apply:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes provided by outside companies. Those providers operate their own services and set their own prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. Their results, charges, and privacy practices remain their responsibility.
